It is easy and simple - they all tell you
that.
Like riding a bike, or like swinging a bat.
"Just follow the rules - that's all that you do
And you too can balance
What you earn and what's due!
Pay important bills first, the house and the
car
Then insurance, electric, gas, food, garbage and more."
And that's what I plan for, each month of my life
I'm no kind of spendthrift.
I am a frugal wife.
But those folks that are preaching, they just
never think
Of the Unexpected - like that wee leak in the sink
That suddenly burgeons, while I'm off at my job
And ruins the floor and the carpet -
It just makes me sob!
So my monthly task is to juggle, steal from Pete
to pay Paul
I pay on Visa and Penney's, but I can't pay them all.
I pay the doctor, the grocer. I do try to cope -
But I don't say "It's balanced."
Not ever. No. Nope.
