TRAGIC HARVEST

Do you feel remorse imbedded in your uncaring heart?
A guilty conscience that rips the struggling mind apart?

As life slowly seeped out of innocent victims on the ground."
Did regretful emotions cause your deceptive heart to pound?

Was the temporary euphoria worth the tragic price?
A pair of handcuffs and two unwilling victims for sacrifice?

Can you look the grieving family with anger in their eye?
Your loving compassion, in which bed did it lie?

You trapped yourself in a shackled chest of selfish greed.
Letting your snared soul break open and bleed.

The tragic harvest your addiction reaped in the open field.
Death and destruction the only crops that alcohol does yield.
