SULLY OPOSSUM'S NIGHT OUT

Children, We are happy that you could stop in.
One of The Woodland Friends is anxious for his adventure to begin.

Sully Opossum can be found napping in his persimmon tree.
The glowing moon is just beginning to peek over the land free.

A snapping branch awakens Sully Opossum from his days sleep.
He uses his five fingers to end a nagging itch, deep.

He wandered to the creek to find Bandit Raccoon in the night,
Listening to Croaker Bullfrog, singing on his lily pad with all his might.

A band of locusts were adding their voices to the night brigade.
While ebony crickets creaked from different places in the rotted stump under the shade.

Sully Opossum passed by Gruff Badger's neat burrow.
He was snoozing until he saw the sunshine of tomorrow.

Dusty Squirrel was fast asleep in her oak tree home.
At daylight, she will visit her friend, Grover Grey Squirrel, on her roam.

Sneaky Fox lurks by on his journey to visit farmer Bray's chicken house.
He startles Willie Barn Owl, watching Tiny Fieldmouse.

Sully Opossum stopped to get a drink from the creek water, cool.
He disturbed a slow moving minnow school.

Bandit raccoon could not be located by the creek anywhere,
So Sully Opossum left the area passing by Lucy Lynx's lair.

He met Bandit Raccoon and Skippy Cottontail on the path to his persimmon tree,
And they enjoyed a supper meal of vegetables, wild strawberries, and other fruit, shared by the three.
