Nothing You Ever Do

Nothing you ever do could turn away my love felt.
Not even a spatula made to stir my eggs or bacon.
No foreign land, starry heavens, or snowy veldt.
For you have taught me a valuable thing, live with fun.

I hear the cackle of your laughter, the mist of your breath is refresh.
A mannequin I was in the kept vacant store of life.
Hidden behind a curtain of mosquito mesh.
The fog of forgetfullness wiped away the scars of fate's knife.

Nothing you could ever do would stop this heart from beating.
A tune from the love I feel inside.
When all seems lost, my mood so defeating.
I realize you are the veil and I'm the bride.
