In dark green forests below blades of summer's
grass
Elves, gnomes and fairies dance upon blossoms of Black Eye Susans
Hidden from the short sighted beasts, mankind
The little peoples safe and secure
Snug between the Kentucky Blue, Dandelions, Crab grass too
If you happen to fall asleep beneath an ancient
oak
Turn your ear towards the earth
Music of their lyrical language might be heard
Feel their muffled footsteps tap on dew moist sod
Laugh at questions tiny gnomes present to you
Make a silent wish upon the elf's pot of gold
Watch moonbeams shimmer on transparent fairy wings
Just don't destroy the secret resting-place, seal
your lips
Take the magic of the spot, hold it tight against your
heart
