Abiding Vine Ministries believes the problem the Local Church faces regarding overworked members is not one of a lack of volunteers, but one of misunderstanding ministry. We believe the Local Church should form it’s ministry around the spiritual gift availability of it’s members instead of trying to fit people into positions in which they are not qualified. In other words, God has gifted the members of the Local Church with specific gifts that meet the needs of the community around them, why not develop ministry in the Local Church to reflect those gifts and needs. Unfortunately as we have discovered, while many Local Churches and their leadership would desire such an approach to ministry, their reality is that such changes are impossible without assistance.That is where Abiding Vine Ministries can help! We believe we can change reality (with God’s help, of course!). Our programs of Local Church assistance are designed to help turn the Local Church situation around without adding a strain on those already involved in ministry. Yet what makes our programs unique is the follow-up built into every one of them. For example, when we hold revivals, we’re not there for the week and then gone, we stay with the Local Church for as long as it takes, working with the Pastor and local leadership to conserve and develop the gains made. This approach takes the pressure off the Pastor to disciple new believers himself and frees him to work more closely with local leadership to direct the spiritual gains made in the revival toward a more vibrant ministry for the Local Church.
